Bellevue Youth Link will host the 35th annual Community Leadership Awards on May 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at City Hall to honor children and teens for their contributions to the community. Award categories and winners include:
- Advocacy for Cultural & Heritage Pride: Sammamish High School Filipino Club
- Advocacy for Education: Ishaan Mishra, Bellevue High
- Advocacy for Supporting Families: Ashley Fabian Hernandez, Highland Middle
- Advocacy for Inclusivity & Allyship: Wren Nowers, Sammamish High
- Advocacy for Social Justice – Group: Bellevue High School Mental Health Club
- Advocacy for Social Justice – Individual: Devon Chong, Newport High
- Advocacy for Sports & Recreation: Maya Mitchell, Forest Ridge
- Advocacy for Well-Being: Leevia Wang, Tyee Middle
- Environmental Champion: Petr Zakonov, Interlake High
- Excellence in Youth Arts: Justis Truitt, International School
- Outstanding Creative & Innovative Thinker: Anusha Arora, Interlake High
- Outstanding Elementary School Student: Artemis Garcia-Pham, Ardmore Elementary

Youth Link will also present the “Norm Maleng” Social Justice Award to Liam Krol and the Phil Kushlan Award to Mehr Grewal. The event is free and open to the public with prior registration.
