Six hospitals within the MultiCare Health System have been recognized in the 2025-2026 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals. MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital was named a Best Regional Hospital in Washington, ranking seventh in the state, and received High Performing recognition in 14 medical procedures and conditions. MultiCare Deaconess Hospital and MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital were acknowledged as High Performing in six procedures each, while MultiCare Covington Medical Center earned High Performing status in two procedures. MultiCare Capital Medical Center and MultiCare Valley Hospital were recognized as High Performing in one procedure each.

The evaluation process included more than 4,400 hospitals across 15 adult specialties and 22 procedures and conditions, with only 13% earning a Best Hospitals designation and about one-third receiving High Performing ratings. These honors highlight the hospitals’ superior outcomes in areas such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications, and nursing care.
