The KCSARC Youth Advisory Council (YAC) has introduced its 2025 cohort, comprising motivated teens from King County dedicated to preventing sexual violence. Each member shared their motivations for joining and a fun fact about themselves:

• Anusha, a senior, aims to educate others about sexual assault and plays guitar and piano.
• Cara wants to make an impact in mental health while supporting survivors.
• Cass seeks to amplify youth voices and enjoys sewing and learning languages.
• Everett aspires to be a professional musician and is involved in community prevention work.
• Grace is focused on educating about sexual violence in schools and enjoys traveling.
• June is committed to raising awareness and sharing resources for assault survivors.
• Kenzie, a freshman, participates in various sports and advocates for those affected by sexual violence.
• Maya emphasizes the need for open discussions about recovery resources.
• Simone aims to destigmatize sexual violence and empower her peers.

This diverse group is focused on making a difference in their communities through education and advocacy.
