Immigrant survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) face unique risks and possess distinct strengths. A validation study of the Danger Assessment for Immigrant (DA-I) women examined risk factors and IPV experiences among 122 immigrant survivors from various regions. The study assessed the predictive validity of the DA-I using the Receiver Operating Characteristic Area Under the Curve, which showed values ranging from .794 to .892 for the full sample and .652 to .943 for regional subsamples. These findings suggest that, when used correctly, the DA-I can empower survivors to make informed decisions about their safety.
