A systematic review and meta-analysis will be conducted to estimate the global prevalence of violence against women (VAW) with disabilities. This study addresses a significant gap in research, as existing data often lack sex-disaggregated information and primarily focus on intimate partner violence, ignoring other types of violence from family members or caregivers. The review will target quantitative studies involving women with disabilities aged 15 and older, adhering to guidelines for systematic reviews. Twelve databases will be searched, and records will be independently screened by two reviewers to assess the risk of bias. The analysis aims to calculate the global prevalence of intimate partner violence, domestic violence, and sexual violence against women with disabilities, comparing their experiences with those of women without disabilities. The findings will support global efforts to tackle VAW, helping to develop targeted policies and programs that address the unique needs of this population. Although ethics approval is not needed for the review, its results will contribute to ongoing work by the World Health Organization to improve the understanding of VAW against women with disabilities, and will be shared through publications, conferences, and relevant organizations.
