Operation Homefront is providing relief to military families this holiday season through its Holiday Meals for Military® program. The nonprofit aims to ease the financial strain many families face by distributing meal kits with essentials for a traditional holiday meal. This initiative mainly targets junior enlisted families, where only about one-third report financial stability. With food prices increasing nearly 25% over the past five years, military households are under more pressure, leading to a 57% rise in food-related requests through Operation Homefront’s Critical Financial Assistance® program.

Supported by partners such as Asbury Automotive Group and Procter & Gamble, the program will reach over 13,000 families at events nationwide. Despite persistent food insecurity affecting roughly 25% of military families, Operation Homefront strives to ensure they can enjoy holiday meals without sacrificing financial stability. Retired Rear Adm. Alan Reyes emphasized the organization’s commitment to addressing the growing need amid rising costs. Registration for eligible military families to receive holiday meals is now open. Operation Homefront aims to support military families as they navigate these challenges, with a mission to improve their overall well-being.
