A systematic review evaluated interventions aimed at alleviating homelife challenges faced by women physicians. Despite the importance of women in healthcare, research on initiatives to support their homelife responsibilities is limited. The review analyzed 2,896 citations, ultimately selecting eight studies that met the inclusion criteria. These studies, mainly from the USA, focused on interventions related to lactation support, maternity leave, and assistance with housework. Sample sizes varied between 6 and 790 participants. Findings indicated that lactation support interventions had moderately positive effects on breastfeeding duration and work interference. However, all studies had significant methodological limitations, including non-randomized designs and high risk of bias. The review highlighted a gap in support for women physicians without children and called for further research to enhance their professional experiences.
