A study assessed the impact of concerns about sustainable food and the future on anxiety levels among individuals living in an earthquake zone. Conducted with 554 participants affected by the February 2023 earthquake, the research collected data using a socio-demographic questionnaire and a state-trait anxiety inventory. The average age of participants was 34.49 years. Results indicated a significant relationship between state and trait anxiety levels and concerns regarding the future, food access, food safety, food storage, food hygiene, food processing, and shelter. The study found that 20.2% of the variation in state anxiety was linked to worries about future food access and sheltering. Furthermore, 10.8% of trait anxiety variance was associated with concerns over food safety and sufficient food supply for families, as well as future housing security.
