In a recent emergency meeting, the Snoqualmie Tribal Council declared a Tribal State of Emergency due to flooding. The Council approved several motions, including the closure of the Tribal Campus for the week and directing the Snoqualmie Casino’s CEO to reserve half of the available rooms for Tribal Members and staff as shelter, with priority access for members and their families. Similar provisions were made for the Salish Lodge & Spa. The motions also permit Tribal Members and staff to park vehicles at the Tribal Government Campus and cancel the 2025 Snoqualmie Tribal Christmas Party due to severe weather. Furthermore, the Council authorized access to the Tribal Emergency Disaster Relief General Welfare Benefit, allowing eligible members to secure safe lodging beyond current restrictions. The Deputy Executive Director of Community Services will coordinate this assistance. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. For non-emergency assistance, Tribal Members or staff can contact the Public Safety non-emergency number, while emergencies should be reported by calling 911.
