Commerce is hosting two listening sessions to gather feedback on the Continuing Affordability (CA) and Housing Preservation (HPP) programs in Washington. The aim is to enhance program guidelines that support affordable multifamily housing residents and help preserve existing affordable housing for thousands of people across the state.
The sessions will take place on Zoom for Housing Trust Fund (HTF) contractors who have used or intend to use CA or HPP funds. The first session is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Pacific Time, and the second on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time. Both sessions will be recorded, and summaries of the discussions will be made available online, along with a transcript.
Participants can request live translation services by emailing Commerce by 12 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2. The feedback collected will focus on topics such as challenges in accessing and using funds, barriers faced by rural housing providers, and suggestions for improving accessibility to CA and HPP funds. Community input is essential for creating a more effective program for Washington residents.
