The Million Veteran Program (MVP) has launched the Military Experiences and Toxic Exposures Survey to gather information on how military service and toxic exposures impact health. This initiative is part of VA’s largest research effort aimed at understanding health issues relevant to Veterans, including mental health, heart health, cancer, and tinnitus. All Veterans are encouraged to participate in the survey, which includes questions about military service, deployment history, job tasks, exposure to hazardous substances, combat experiences, and lifestyle factors.

By participating, Veterans can help researchers identify ways to better screen, detect, prevent, and treat health conditions linked to military service. The survey is intended for health research and will not affect participants’ disability benefits or access to VA health care. Veterans interested in taking the survey can join MVP by visiting the MVP website and following the provided instructions. Current members of MVP can access the survey by signing in and selecting the survey option.
