WA INCLUDE has launched a Care Coordination Training Curriculum and Pilot Program aimed at enhancing care coordination for families and youth with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and co-occurring mental health needs. The program focuses on developing the skills and knowledge of care coordinators while assessing current systems to find strategies that improve access to care sustainably. It highlights the importance of workforce development and system improvement, acknowledging the vital role care coordinators have in helping families navigate complex service systems. By providing targeted training and evaluation, the initiative aims to lessen barriers to care, enhance coordination among providers and agencies, and facilitate more timely and effective services for children and families.
