Rainier Valley Food Bank (RVFB) is highlighting its Capital Campaign Honorary Co-Chairs, who are pivotal in raising funds for a new food bank facility aimed at serving the growing community’s needs. The campaign has a goal of $17 million, with $3 million still needed for program expansion and maintenance. The Honorary Co-Chairs include:

  • Becky Selengut, a chef and author, who actively volunteers and emphasizes the joy of community engagement through food.
  • Brad Goode, a Senior VP at Washington Federal Bank, who has extensive experience in fundraising and aims to combat food insecurity in Seattle.
  • Melissa Miranda, owner of Musang and Kilig, who is committed to food access and has provided free meals during the pandemic.
  • Rosamond Edison, owner of Marination, known for community engagement and advocating for food as a basic human right.
  • Linda Breneman, co-founder of Richard Hugo House, who has been instrumental in raising millions for the campaign and increasing awareness of food security.
  • Maria Kolby-Wolfe, CEO of the WA Women’s Foundation, who has a deep background in nonprofit management and community support.

Together, they work to ensure that RVFB can continue providing essential services in a dignified and welcoming environment.
