The Best Starts for Kids (BSK) Child & Adolescent Immunizations Strategy is offering funding for youth and young adult-led projects aimed at promoting vaccine awareness and confidence. Between March 1 and Dec. 31, 2026, 3 to 8 awardees will receive up to $9,999 each, with a total funding pool of $30,000. Applications opened on Jan. 27, 2026, and will be accepted on a rolling basis until all funds are allocated.

This initiative, supported by Public Health Seattle King County (PHSKC), seeks to engage young people in designing and implementing programs that raise awareness about vaccines and health services. Previous efforts have involved high school students coordinating campaigns with local health centers to promote vaccinations.

Key priorities include increasing awareness of vaccination benefits, providing health promotion skill development, empowering youth to share personal vaccine experiences, and amplifying young voices concerning healthcare access. The program also aims to enhance confidence in vaccines and improve access to reliable vaccine information. Further details and application information are available for interested applicants.
