Immediate suspensions were also enacted for those prohibited from practicing in other states. The Health Systems Quality Assurance Division oversees licensing standards for over 80 health care professions.
Notable actions include the suspension of Wanda Sue Townsend’s pharmacy assistant credential after she neglected a vulnerable adult. Garrett Matthew Leffers surrendered his certified medical assistant-phlebotomist credential for submitting false information in an application. Christopher Eugene Lawson faced indefinite suspension of his audiologist credential due to multiple patient care violations. Kaylee Gaddis had her nursing assistant credentials suspended for failing to cooperate with an investigation regarding financial exploitation. Leslie Carol Boettcher was suspended for mental abuse of a vulnerable adult. Kayla S. Boelen was also suspended for financially exploiting a vulnerable adult.
Additionally, Brooke Danielle Taylor from Indiana had her athletic trainer credential suspended for providing unauthorized treatment, while Robert Lee Verzino from Oregon was suspended after multiple DUI convictions.
