Help prevent poisonings and protect the environment at the Safely Dispose Expired/Unwanted Medicine event on January 24 at 5 p.m. This community initiative allows King County residents to safely dispose of unwanted household and pet medications through local kiosks or by ordering free prepaid mail-back envelopes. Attendees can bring liquids, inhalers, patches, gels, and ointments in their original containers, while pills and powders can be mixed in a single container. Note that needles must be sent via mail-back options. This program is part of Washington’s Safe Medication Return Program, managed by trusted providers.
