Join Chef Garzón from Bad Chancla for a hands-on cooking class at El Centro de la Raza on March 15 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Participants will learn to transform pantry staples into comforting dishes, including white rice, guisada beans, savory picadillo ground beef, and bright salsa criolla. The class will also cover quick pickling techniques and hybrid cooking, utilizing both canned and fresh vegetables. No fancy tools or ingredients are required—just bring an apron if you have one! All ingredients will be provided, and attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the meal they create together. Proceeds from the class support El Centro’s Senior Program, which offers healthy meals and social activities for elders. Come cook, learn practical skills, and contribute to the community in this delicious event.
