The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) protects the United States from threats to public safety and national security. It coordinates efforts across agencies to prevent terrorism, manage borders, enforce immigration laws, safeguard cyberspace, and ensure disaster preparedness and response. DHS includes agencies such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the U.S. Coast Guard.
