El Centro de la Raza hosted the Chilean Consulate’s visit from July 16-19, 2025, providing valuable services like passport renewals and civil registry assistance to the local Chilean community. The summer programs for youth, including the Échale Ganas camp, began successfully, engaging 75 middle school students in ethnic studies, STEM, and environmental justice activities. A new mural titled “Storybook” was unveiled at the José Martí Child Development Center, celebrating bilingualism and cultural richness, created by former student Angelina Villalobos Soto. The Senior Hub celebrated its first graduating cohort from the Tomando Control de Su Salud program, empowering seniors to manage their health. A participant from the Veterans of Color Pathfinders program adopted a new companion dog, facilitated by El Centro de la Raza and the Auburn Humane Society. The organization partnered with Bank of America for the Student Leaders program, offering internships and leadership training to youth. El Centro de la Raza received recognition as a VISION 2050 Award winner for its community-driven development efforts and hosted the seventh annual Seattle Latinx Pride event, celebrating Latinx culture and identity.
