A new study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a mobile app called Cancer Manager Plus (CAMA+) for cancer patients. Despite the availability of numerous health apps, there is currently no comprehensive tool that combines evidence-based medical information, schedule management, lifestyle support, psychological assistance, and community resources tailored for cancer patients. This randomized controlled trial will involve 200 patients with different types of cancer, including colorectal, lung, breast, and thyroid. Participants will be divided into an intervention group using the app and a control group receiving standard treatment for eight weeks. The study will assess improvements in self-efficacy and mental adjustment among cancer survivors, along with other health outcomes and user experience with the app. The app is unique in offering personalized features based on cancer type and treatment stage, including medication management and links to wellness resources. This trial, registered with the Clinical Research Information Service, seeks to determine the app’s impact on patients’ self-efficacy and adaptation to their cancer experiences. Results will contribute to understanding how digital tools can enhance support for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
