First aid training for early childhood educators is essential due to the high risk of accidents among young children. A review of global first aid knowledge and training among these educators, particularly in China, highlights significant gaps and challenges. The literature search included studies from 2009 to 2024, utilizing various academic databases. Findings indicate that while developed countries have established training protocols, developing nations, including China, struggle with fragmented programs and limited resources. Government policies recognize the necessity of first aid training, but implementation often lacks consistency. The review calls for standardized training programs, better resource distribution, and ongoing professional development to enhance first aid preparedness. It emphasizes the need for collaboration among policymakers, educational institutions, and stakeholders to establish an effective framework for training. Despite the acknowledged importance of such training, there is a noticeable lack of research on early childhood educators’ first aid knowledge and skills globally. This review aims to fill that gap through a comprehensive analysis of available literature.
