Army veteran Dr. Arielle Jordan turned her traumatic experiences into a mission to support others after her unexpected military career end. She became a trauma expert, consultant, speaker, and therapist. Her journey into entrepreneurship took a positive turn after attending the DAV Patriot Boot Camp, a program that connects transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses with education, mentorship, and community support.

Founded in 2012, the boot camp emphasizes the importance of mentorship by pairing participants with experienced entrepreneurs. The next session is scheduled for Feb. 11-13, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with applications available until seats are filled or by Jan. 16. Participants can compete for $10,000 in funding prizes.

Jordan, who has maintained a relationship with her mentor from the program, credits this support for boosting her confidence and helping her refine her vision. She returned to the boot camp as a mentor, sharing her expertise in mental wellness and leadership. Jordan understands the unique challenges veterans face in entrepreneurship, including identity shifts and imposter syndrome, and feels a strong commitment to giving back to the community that shaped her.
