Starting Jan. 27, The Seattle Public Library will expand hours at the Montlake Branch and adjust schedules at the Capitol Hill and Douglass-Truth branches. The Montlake Branch will now be open on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., increasing the number of libraries open seven days a week from 13 to 14.

The Capitol Hill Branch will remain open every day but will reduce its hours by two on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and will close two hours earlier on Thursdays. The Douglass-Truth Branch will also stay open daily but will cut two hours from its Wednesday and Thursday schedules. All library locations, except for the University Branch, which is undergoing renovations, will continue to operate at least six days a week.

These changes aim to better serve the community while managing resources effectively. Detailed hour changes for each branch will be available to the public.
