Juma Ventures has appointed Dr. Lisa Chin as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. Dr. Chin has over 20 years of experience in youth-serving organizations, previously serving as CEO of Treehouse, President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of King County, and as the Founding Executive Director of YearUp in Seattle. She is known for her commitment to youth empowerment and strategic growth.
In her new role, Dr. Chin expressed her honor in joining Juma, an organization dedicated to supporting young people for over 30 years. She looks forward to collaborating with the Board, staff, donors, and community supporters to build on Juma’s successes and expand opportunities for the youth served. The Juma Board of Directors believes Dr. Chin’s vision and experience will guide the organization into a new chapter focused on impact and growth.
The board also thanked Abdiel Cerrud for his leadership as Interim CEO during the transition. Juma Ventures aims to enhance economic opportunities for young people through employment services, financial empowerment coaching, and pathways to success. With Dr. Chin at the helm, Juma is positioned to deepen its impact in the community.
