U Village’s Winter Wish program has successfully delivered holiday gifts to children and families at the Compass on Dexter affordable housing community for 15 years. This year, more than 150 presents were donated, ensuring every child received their requested gift and enabling families to celebrate together. Anthony Williams, program manager at Compass, expressed gratitude for the generosity, stating that the gifts helped create a joyful holiday celebration filled with games, prizes, and connection. He emphasized that the partnership with U Village is not just about the gifts but also about dignity and community support. U Village’s Winter Wish program invites shoppers to help local families in need by selecting gift tags from giving trees that appear after Thanksgiving. Shoppers purchase and return the gifts, which are then sorted and delivered to nonprofits in the Seattle area. In 2025, the program donated 1,855 gifts to 12 organizations, bringing joy to numerous families in King County. This initiative has become a cherished tradition, promoting a spirit of giving during the holiday season.
