DESC is preparing to welcome 95 new tenants to Clover Place, and community support is needed to help these individuals feel at home. Donations of bedding, kitchen, and bathroom supplies are essential for transforming empty apartments into comfortable living spaces. There are two ways to assist: individuals can either adopt an apartment and participate in a setup event on February 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., which includes family-friendly activities like making welcome signs and games, or they can sponsor an apartment by donating funds for supplies that volunteers will set up. Additionally, anyone can contribute by sending a “Welcome Home” sign. A coloring page can be printed and colored to add a personal touch for the new residents. Completed coloring pages should be brought to the event if adopting an apartment or mailed to the designated address for others. Community involvement is crucial in making Clover Place a welcoming environment for its new residents.
