Pacific Apartments, originally opened as a hotel in 1915, has been transformed by Plymouth Housing into supportive housing for those in need in King County. Acquired in 1993, the property offered Single Room Occupancy units for single adults facing chronic homelessness. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, renovations began in 2023, converting communal spaces into private studio and one-bedroom units. The revamped apartments reopened in November 2025, maintaining a sense of community with a courtyard featuring a koi pond, despite the loss of shared kitchens and bathrooms.
The renovation was funded by various public entities, including the Washington State Department of Commerce and the City of Seattle. Pacific Apartments now offers 87 permanent supportive housing units for individuals, including those with disabilities. Plymouth Housing supports tenants during their transition from homelessness by providing amenities such as free laundry services, furnished units, and starter kitchen supplies. Additionally, the organization offers wraparound services, including medical and behavioral health support, family reunification, and substance use treatment, aimed at easing the challenges faced by new residents.
