Metro services will be affected this weekend due to construction and events in Seattle. From Friday, January 16 at 7 p.m. to Monday, January 19 at 5 a.m., multiple bus routes, including Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and others, will be impacted by the closure at 3rd Avenue and Virginia Street. Route 21 will also be affected on Saturday, January 17, in both directions during the Seahawks game, with alternate stops available on 4th Avenue S.
Sound Transit routes ST 545 and ST 554 will be rerouted due to construction on Saturday and Friday nights, respectively. The Water Taxi will provide late service on Saturday after the Seahawks game, with additional sailings from Pier 50.
On Monday, January 19, Metro will operate a weekday schedule in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, with several services available, including the West Seattle and Vashon Island Water Taxis. The Seattle Center Monorail will run from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Riders are encouraged to use text alerts for real-time departure information.
