St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Seattle is set to open 84 affordable family apartments in the Ballard neighborhood. This new eight-story development, built on land owned by the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia, aims to address the area’s housing affordability challenges. The apartments include studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units available for households earning 60% of the area median income or less. Amenities feature a community room, bike storage, laundry facilities, a rooftop deck with a BBQ, and a play area. FamilyWorks will provide resident services. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned to celebrate the opening, with the event taking place in the community room on the first floor. Seating is limited, and attendees are encouraged to use public transit or rideshare due to limited street parking.
