A workshop on supporting family caregivers will be held on March 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. PDT, offering four continuing education units. Led by Kris Fredrickson, MSW, LICSW, the session will focus on providing proper assessment and care for caregivers, who often go unrecognized despite their crucial role in assisting people with disabilities and older adults. The workshop will cover essential caregiver assessment tools, signs of caregiver burnout, and skills necessary for both caregivers and clinicians. Participants will learn three key things to avoid when caring for individuals with dementia and explore the skills needed to prevent caregiver burnout. The session, conducted via Zoom, is open to all case managers and service providers. The registration fee is $150, with discounts and scholarships available. Information regarding the Zoom link will be provided one week before the event. Fredrickson has extensive experience in geriatric health and mental health, serving as a clinical associate professor and educator in various settings. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge to enhance the well-being of family caregivers as the aging population increases.
