A new recorded webinar offers 1.5 continuing dental education credits focused on the updated Washington School-Based Sealant and Fluoride Varnish Guidelines. The session aims to help participants understand the guidelines’ purpose and effective implementation strategies for dental programs. Key topics include clinical recommendations for dental sealants and fluoride varnish, with an emphasis on silver diamine fluoride, as well as new resources for community partners.

The webinar features presenters with extensive backgrounds in dental health. Dr. Sarah Vander Beek, the Dental Director at the Washington State Healthcare Authority, has a strong history in community health and a personal commitment to improving access to care. Dr. Katie Rossitch, who has a passion for public health, has worked to expand dental care for school-aged children and led initiatives to enhance oral health outcomes in schools. Shelley Guinn, an experienced dental hygienist, focuses on increasing access to oral health services across Washington.
