Operation Homefront is hosting its Holiday Meals for Military events nationwide as the holiday season approaches. Since 2010, the program has provided over 210,000 holiday meals to military and veteran families. Volunteers and staff gather to support active-duty military members and veterans during this time. Marine veteran Scotti Fraser shared how last year’s event in Houston, Texas, helped his financially struggling family of six, stating they would have only had leftovers without the holiday meal. The Houston event served 100 military families and included crafts, activities, and a surprise visit from Astronaut Randy Bresnik. Air Force veteran Kristina Torres also attended a Thanksgiving event in San Antonio, expressing how the support has been invaluable, both financially and emotionally, as she misses her military friends and family back in Pennsylvania. She emphasized the importance of connection and support from the community during the holidays. Operation Homefront invites families to check its events page or follow them on social media to find local Holiday Meals for Military events.
