Marine veteran Scotti Fraser, who served in Iraq, has faced significant physical and neurological health challenges since returning home. To cope with his struggles, he turns to music, finding healing and hope through songwriting. Understanding the difficulties veterans face transitioning to civilian life, Scotti performs and volunteers for veteran-supporting organizations. However, he and his wife, Stacia, have faced financial hardships, especially during the holidays. Stacia works part-time while caring for her father and Scotti, who is unable to work. With their household of six, they struggled to afford a festive meal.

Scottie learned about Operation Homefront’s Holiday Meals for Military® program, which has provided over 210,000 meals to military families since 2010. Attending an event at the NASA Gilruth Center in Houston, Scotti and his family received a holiday meal alongside other military families, enjoying activities and a surprise visit from Astronaut Randy Bresnik. Scotti expressed gratitude for the assistance, stating, “We would not have had a holiday meal without Operation Homefront. It would have been leftovers and sandwiches.” He thanked donors for their support, emphasizing the impact on veterans like himself.
