Severe flooding in Washington state has displaced thousands of residents, creating an urgent need for safe, temporary housing. To address this, Washington 211 has partnered with Airbnb.org to provide free emergency housing for those affected by the floods. Displaced individuals and families can access short-term housing options that prioritize safety and stability during this challenging time.

To qualify for assistance, residents should call 211, where specialists will offer personalized support. Temporary housing is available for those directly impacted by the flooding, and the booking guest must be at least 18 years old. All stays are funded by Airbnb.org, making them completely free. This initiative is supported by the generosity of Airbnb.org, Airbnb, and local hosts.

Crisis Connections, which operates Washington 211’s call center, will extend its hours on December 13 and 14 to ensure residents can access this crucial support. Since its inception in 2020, Airbnb.org has provided over 1.6 million nights of free housing to more than 250,000 people globally, highlighting its commitment to assisting those in crisis.
