Amelia reflects on 17 years of support from Angel Flight West (AFW) that enabled her sons, Jamisen and Cian, to receive specialized care at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She recalls the pivotal moment when Nurse Kathy introduced them to AFW, which became essential for their trips to the eye specialist. Amelia expresses gratitude for the many volunteers and pilots who made these flights possible, sharing that her family formed lasting friendships and a deep love for flying. Their final flight with AFW last spring was emotional, as they were not prepared to age out of the hospital’s care. While sad to conclude their journey with AFW, Amelia finds comfort in knowing that other families will continue to benefit from these flights. She thanks everyone involved for turning challenging experiences into moments of fun and peace of mind for her family.
