Camp Corral, a program supported by DAV, will return this summer for its 14th year, offering no-cost weeklong summer camps to children of disabled veterans or those who died in service. From June through August, 23 camps will be held across the country for children ages 8 to 15. Camp Corral aims to empower these children, allowing them to enjoy a supportive environment while making friends and learning coping skills. Over 7,700 children of ill, injured, or fallen service members have attended these camps through DAV’s Just B Kids scholarship program. DAV National Adjutant Barry Jesinoski emphasized the unique challenges faced by these children and the importance of providing them with a joyful camp experience. Camp Corral focuses on helping children build life skills, resilience, and independence. The application period opens on Jan. 14, and interested families are encouraged to apply early, as spots fill quickly.
